The submitted Project was to remove and replace the Limestone Steps for the South Portico of the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington DC for the National Park Service through Star General Inc.

Extreme Steel Crane and Rigging Inc. was contacted by Star General Inc. to bid the Crane Work necessary for the Project. During the Bid Process I used the load information from the Customer and 3D Lift Plan’s Crane Search function to find that our 60T Link-Belt HTC-8660 II was the right crane for the Job. I sent a portfolio of sample Lift Plans to Star General Inc. to showcase our attention to detail. Using 3D Lift Plan helps Extreme Steel Crane and Rigging stand apart from our competitors.

Using 3D Lift Plan to correctly scale the crane and jobsite allowed us to accurately Bid the Project as a 60T Crane job and allowed us to price accordingly. We outbid our competition and won the work.

Once the Bid was awarded I started to build the Site completely in 3D Lift Plan. I imported ground textures from Arial Photographs and then used the Scale Tool to accurately scale the images into the Program. I really like the ability to Upload an Image to the Objects in 3D Lift Plan which allows me to mimic the Jobsite almost perfectly. Once the jobsite was built in 3D, I placed the crane in its setup location. I used 3D Lift Plan to verify the working radius, the Pick and Set Points, and to show the necessary rigging that we would use for the project.

The Lift Plan Tool’s Ground Bearing Calculations provide critical information to most of our customers. For Star General Inc. and the National Park Service it was necessary to provide the most accurate Ground Bearing Pressures as possible with our submitted documentation. We were able to confirm that our Cranes’ cribbing and Outrigger Mats would be more than suitable for the work.

The 3D Image of the Jobsite, an informative narrative plan and 3D Lift Plans Specific Printouts helps Extreme Steel Crane and Rigging Inc. demonstrate to the General Contractor, the Safety Team, and the Customer that our services are expertly provided and exceeds expectations.
