Unity WebGL Troubleshooting

This page will help you solve problems viewing 3D content on 3D Lift Plan.

System Requirements

  • Windows 7 SP1+, macOS 10.12+, or Ubuntu 16.04+
  • Any recent desktop version of 64-bit Firefox, Chrome, Edge, or Safari, with WebGL 1.0 or 2.0 enabled
  • 6+ GB RAM
  • Graphics card with DX10 (shader model 4.0) capabilities
  • CPU: SSE2 instruction set support

Checklist

  1. Is your browser 32 or 64-bit? It must be 64 bit.
  2. Is your browser up-to-date? Make sure you have updated to the latest version.
  3. Slow load time? Run a speed test...
  4. Create a new lift plan to ensure the issue is not isolated to one specific lift plan.
  5. Try other compatible browsers... Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, or Edge.

Check Compatibility in Google Chrome

  1. Enter chrome://gpu/ into the Chrome address bar.
  2. Find the WebGL2 setting...
    • If it says "Unavailable", try the "WebGL Low Memory" build. If that doesn't work, then you must update your graphics card.
    • If it says "Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable" then you must enable hardware acceleration...
      • Enter chrome://settings/ into the Chrome address bar.
      • In the menu on the left side of the page, click "Advanced".
      • Scroll down to the "System" section and enable "Use hardware acceleration when available".
      • Click the "Relaunch" button, then try 3D Lift Plan again.

      If you still have problems...

      • Enter chrome://flags into the Chrome address bar.
      • Search for "Override Software Rendering List" and enable it.
      • Search for "WebAssembly" and set it to "Default" or "Enabled".
      • Search for "WebGL" and set both "WebGL 2.0 Compute" and "WebGL Draft Extensions" to "Enabled".
      • Relaunch the web browser and try 3D Lift Plan again.
